Bullying and Harassment

Bullying and teasing can take the form of direct or indirect physical or verbal behaviors. When students face this abuse based on their gender identity, race, ethnicity, language, or disability, this constitutes harassment. Although bullying and teasing are often dismissed as "normal" adolescent behaviors, their consequences are very serious, affecting the academic performance of students and impacting their educational opportunities by creating unsafe school environments. Harassment, including sexual harassment, is especially dangerous.

Our specialists in bullying and harassment work with administrators, teachers, and parents to review schools' bullying and harassment policies. We then help schools revise and strengthen their policies to protect all students. In addition to our policy review services, our specialists are trained to deliver nationally recognized, highly effective intervention programs for schools in need of professional development surrounding the prevention of bullying and harassment.
