Alliance Collaboratories

Our online and face-to-face professional development offerings use a range of strategies to engage educators in job-related learning that, while grounded in research, invites direct application to practice. Our approach to professional development recognizes that the learning that can produce change in practice requires sustained engagement and continuous feedback. Where possible, we couple, short-term, our job-embedded learning activities with our district and school improvement services. This allows us to offer workshops and seminars that focus on information delivery along with longer-term strategies, including coaching and online collaboration with peers and experts, that support participants in putting new knowledge into action in their own job situations.
