The 20th Annual Northeast Superintendents' Leadership Institute was held at the Marriott Hotel in Newport, Rhode Island on April 30, May 1 and May 2, 2008. Among this year's presenters were: Lois Adams-Rodgers, deputy executive director of the Council of Chief State School Officers, Richard Lemons, nationally known consultant for leadership development and school improvement, Ray McNulty, executive director of The Successful Practices Network at the International Center for Leadership in Education, and Mary Kusler, assistant director of government relations for the American Association of School Administrators.
Speakers addressed theories of action, planning for change, and the challenges of leadership, among other targeted topics.
