The New England Equity Assistance Center appoints a new director

The Education Alliance is pleased to announce that Ms. Sharon Lloyd Clark has been appointed director of the New England Equity Assistance Center (NEEAC). Ms. Lloyd Clark has worked at the Alliance as assistant director of secondary school redesign since 2004. This past year she was on loan with the Providence Public Schools where she worked as executive director of High Schools. She brings much experience and critical leadership skills to this new position.

Dr. Maria Pacheco, previous director of the New England Equity Assistance Center will continue to oversee the project as principal investigator and director of equity and diversity projects for the Alliance. While continuing to lead all programs within Equity and Diversity, Dr. Pacheco will also assume responsibility for the newly funded Master's Programs for Middle and High School teachers, in ESL and Crosscultural Studies. She will also direct a Professional Development Initiative in southeastern Massachusetts.
