The 21st Annual Northeast Superintendents' Leadership Institute was held at the Marriott Hotel in Newport, Rhode Island on April 29, April 30 and May 1, 2009. This year's Institute was a 3-day intensive program conducted by Richard Lemons, Ed.D. Richard is the Director of the Institute for Urban School Improvement, a research and outreach center dedicated to understanding and building capacity for urban school improvement. In addition to his work at the Institute, Richard is on faculty in the Department of Education Leadership at the University of Connecticut, where he directs and teaches within the Ed.D program.
