What is BCC?
BCC is a National Professional Development Program project for content-area teachers in Massachusetts charter schools, offered by The Education Alliance at Brown University. The program's goal is to develop the capacity of content-area teachers in Massachusetts charter schools to provide meaningful, rigorous, data-driven instruction to English language learners.
Who are the target participants?
Each year The Education Alliance will work with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Second Education to select five charter school to participate in BCC for one year. The project will work with up to 20 teachers from each of the five selected charter schools. Priority will be given to teachers in STEM-related fields. There is no cost to schools or teachers.
