Network Meetings – Integration of School Improvement and ELL Support Strategies

The Education Alliance has convened Regional Network Meetings focused on the integration of Title III and school improvement support for schools identified for improvement under state educational accountability systems. State education leaders representing Title I, Title III, or ELL/Bilingual Programs, and School Improvement from New England and Eastern Seaboard states have participated. These meetings provided an opportunity for representatives from these states and from different roles to share their approaches to school improvement, especially as it relates to English Language Learners (ELLs). The long-term goal of the series is to leverage the collective knowledge of multiple state education agencies (SEAs) so that educational leaders can develop a deeper understanding of how to build state-level capacity and effectively respond to the needs of schools and districts with high percentages of ELLs.
