PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENTThe Alliance has developed a set of planning tools and companion workshop modules designed to assist districts and schools plan for and implement comprehensive school reform.
The complete set of workshop modules is available at no cost to interested states, districts and schools. The modules are designed to be part of a two-day workshop series that takes schools through a rigorous and detailed process of planning for comprehensive school improvement.
Topics covered include:
Each module includes a Powerpoint slideshow with an accompanying script (accessible through the notes view), a selection of tools, and links to additional resources. The modules are customizable as needed to address state and/or district specific mandates and frameworks regarding school improvement.
In addition to the facilitator script, staff members at the Alliance are available to conduct the full set of workshops or to train technical assistance providers working with schools.

Between Workshop #1 and Workshop #2, participating schools should be given
enough time to plan for whole school improvement and to go through a needs
assessment process.
