The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) has an obligation to report to the public regarding the state of educational improvement in public high schools. The Education Alliance has an interest in gathering important information about how high schools in the region are changing their pedagogy to allow all students to achieve to high standards.
In addition to supporting a regional conference to assist high schools facing an accreditation review, the Alliance, in partnership with NEASC, developed the High School Accreditation Web Site, a tool designed for schools preparing for an accreditation visit. The intention of the site was to become an evolving, up-to-date source of information for conversations about high school accreditation and reform efforts in New England. This site provides general information, resources, examples of practices, and suggested guiding questions that will help educational leaders plan for and think about the issues related to accreditation and whole school change. (2007: This site has been transferred to NEASC. A new link to it will be posted here when it is available.)
