Technical Assistance & Consultation
We offer a range of consultation and planning services that focus on needs assessment, planning and development, and implementation of management and instructional strategies that can create positive change. We work with leaders from all levels of the educational system who are responsible for improving teaching and learning conditions for students, teachers, and communities.
We couple extensive field-based experience with research to put special emphasis on aligning processes and strategies for improving educational practice across all levels of the educational community, not just the classroom.
Our long established expertise in the areas of equity and diversity informs our attention to context, and to the application of processes, tools and strategies that enhance learning for all students. Ultimately, our work with states and districts is designed to build sustainable capacity that supports effective management of school improvement.
Service offerings include:
- State and District Capacity Building
We work with districts and states to build capacity for substantive, systemic improvement efforts, leveraging district and state resources, building strategic mechanisms for change, and continually assessing the impact of their efforts.
- Developing Systems for Effective District-wide School Improvement
We work with districts to develop systems for supporting and monitoring district-wide school improvement, which includes the capacity of a district’s schools to effectively engage in ongoing needs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of their own improvement efforts.
- Designing Services for Districts and Schools that are Underperforming or Have a High Incidence of English Language Learners (ELLs)
We offer targeted technical assistance and professional development, with expertise in such areas as ELL instructional strategies, school improvement, evaluation, and the development of cross-school professional learning communities.
- Implementation Consultation and Program Development
Working collaboratively with educators, we support them in launching and sustaining strategies for improvement, and in learning together what it takes to apply research based frameworks and tools in practice.
